Records of All Blue date back to the late 1800s. However, some claim it to be genetically identical to Russian Blue. With that being said anecdotal evidence states otherwise, please let us know what you find in your gardens! All Blue potatoes are great roasted, steamed, mashed, and sautéed. Similar to the Russian Blue, it is moderately susceptible to scab but is also high in antioxidants.

I grew these last year along with Russian blues and indeed the all blue was all blue. Very tasty too! I noticed that the all blue tended to have bigger potatoes. Not sure if that was by chance or not.

I love these potatoes – I call them amethyst jewels. The dark colour makes it harder to see when harvesting but so worth it. I’ve been growing Russian Blues for years but I find the All Blue much creamier – not as dry and the Russian blues. Love the Arizona too for taste!

These potatoes are great roasted, their colour becomes lighter when boiled, but maintain their dark colour after roasting
